LEGO LIFE ON MARS 7316 EXCAVATION SEARCHER

When the 471 pieces in this set are assembled, with the assistance of a clearly laid-out guidebook, you are presented with the biggest robot of LEGO's Life on Mars series. It features four legs, a meteor container, a crane, and a seismometer. Well, OK, a LEGO arrangement that looks like a seismometer. It can also be adapted to form other vehicles. The menacing craft is overseen by a rather bookish-looking Martian named Vega. As with all LEGOs, the pieces are interchangeable with other sets and can be used to form a variety of toys limited only by a child's imagination. --John Moe
